What Is GORE-TEX?
The GORE-TEX membrane is part of the Gore family of consumer products, and it is designed to provide superior performance in a wide range of applications. GORE-TEX products employ a three-pronged defense to protect from weather conditions, ensuring extreme climate comfort: Waterproofness, Windproofness and Breathability.
The GORE-TEX membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) that has over 1.4 billion pores per square centimeter, bonded to an outer textile and, in many instances, a lining. It is durably waterproof and windproof, yet it is breathable. This means water from the outside doesnβt penetrate, cold wind doesnβt pass through, yet perspiration can escape.
We're all enthusiasts ourselves and we know what it's like to be waiting for ages for a new boots, backpacks, or be charged an unfair amount for delivery! Important note for all delivery services:
Under no circumstances can Militaryshop ltd be held responsible for non-delivery of items if the customer has provided an incorrect address. Postal insurance does not cover this and we are not able to re-dispatch orders where this problem has occurred without payment being taken for the order again. In this case, we will of course refund you if the first parcel dispatched is returned to us. If the incorrectly-addressed order is returned to us, then it's no problem to re-send or refund you for it.
