Inspired by Salomon’s most popular trail running shoe, the XA Pro 3D, the XA Forces Mid GTX is specifically designed for precise, fast, and agile police or military operations. This versatile tactical boot impresses with its functional design, light weight, and excellent grip, making it an optimal choice for a variety of deployment areas.

Robust and Flexible Upper Material

The upper of the boot consists of an innovative material mix that includes anti-debris mesh, full-grain leather, and single-layer mesh. In this GTX variant, a Gore-Tex membrane also protects against water entry. This combination makes the boot particularly durable and simultaneously flexible.

The non-reflective properties of the material reduce visibility and thus the conspicuousness of the wearer in dangerous or covert operations.

Anti-Debris Mesh

Anti-Debris Mesh is a key component in the construction of the boot, designed to prevent the penetration of dirt and foreign particles. This mesh variant offers optimal breathability and is simultaneously fine enough to effectively keep out dirt, sand, and small stones. This is particularly important in tactical and military environments, where cleanliness and functionality of the shoe are essential for maintaining mobility and comfort.

Nubuck Leather

Nubuck leather, derived from the top layer of cowhide and lightly sanded, produces a velvety surface. It offers high abrasion resistance and ideally conforms to the foot without long break-in periods. The special treatment of the leather ensures natural water repellency and makes it extremely durable.

Gore-Tex Membrane

In the GTX variant of the tactical boot, a Gore-Tex membrane is embedded between the outer material and the lining, consisting of porous PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). This membrane is water-repellent but allows sweat in the form of water vapor to escape. This keeps the feet dry and comfortable, effectively protects against moisture, and simultaneously provides high breathability.

Fit and Construction for Optimized Functionality

SensiFit System

The SensiFit system of the boot cradles the foot from the midsole to the Quicklace fast-lacing system, providing a secure, precise, and almost custom fit. The inside of the boot is additionally reinforced to support climbing and fast rappelling.

Quicklace System

Salomon’s Quicklace system allows for a quick and easy adjustment of the shoe fit through a lace that tightens with a single pull, with excess length securely stored in a pocket on the tongue. This lacing system evenly distributes pressure across the foot, prevents uncomfortable pressure points, and is easy to operate with gloves, making it ideal for tactical operations. To prevent tripping hazards, the shoe is equipped with closed lace hooks.

Rubber Cap and Mudguard

The 3D rubber toe cap effectively protects the toes from shocks and hard impacts and also provides abrasion resistance and a waterproof barrier, enhancing the boot’s durability and keeping the feet dry. The use of modern shaping techniques also improves wearing comfort and supports the structural stability of the boot, which is crucial for fast movements and safe navigation in challenging conditions.

Insole

The OrthoLite insole provides excellent cushioning, thereby supporting shock absorption, which reduces the load on the feet during long operations and intense activities. 3D Chassis

The 3D Chassis, placed between the outsole and the midsole of the tactical boot, plays a central role in optimizing movement control and energy management. This low-profile chassis helps increase stability while maintaining flexibility, allowing the wearer to perform precise and responsive movements. It provides additional protection from impacts and ensures that the shoe maintains its shape and functionality under extreme conditions. Dual Density Midsole

The Dual Density midsole is a key component in Salomon’s high-performance shoes, combining two layers of foam with different densities to maximize both comfort and support. Outsole

The Contagrip MA outsole is specifically designed for a wide range of surfaces and offers an optimal balance between durability and traction. It is made from a special rubber compound that considers both the geometry and the quality of the rubber, to provide reliable grip on wet, dry, hard, or loose surfaces. This ensures safety and stability across various terrains, not only by being durable but also by offering the necessary grip to prevent slips and falls.

The puncture-proof Enigma Zero HT2 insert made from non-metallic, highly resistant material significantly contributes to the wearer’s safety, especially in environments where the risk of ground punctures is high. The anti-static technology additionally prevents the accumulation of static electricity in the shoe and effectively dissipates it, which protects the wearer in potentially explosive or electrically sensitive areas.
