Tactical boot with contra-grip
As an operational boot, the Quest Prime Forces GTX meets the highest demands for missions in tough, rough terrain. With its special suitability for rocky and unforgiving surfaces, the comfortable boot is a robust tactical boot, but also recommends itself for sprints or quick changes of movement with a flexibility that is indebted to the fit.
Sole from the inside out
The OrthoLite insole moulds to the contours of the foot for further enhanced cushioning and breathability.
Double midsole construction
The Salomon 4D Advanced Chassis adds extra stability to the shoe: thermoplastic urethane is used to improve stability by reducing lateral flex and also protects the feet from the sharp, penetrating impacts of the spiky terrain.
Finally, a second midsole made of two Energy Cell foams in different densities provides excellent cushioning, stability and motion control.
Contragrip sole
The signature All Terrain Contagrip sole is designed for a wide variety of surfaces and provides stability and security whether the terrain is wet, dry, hard or loose.
Fit
The boot has a precise and virtually customised fit that is excellent for rough terrain: The SensiFit fit comes from Salomon’s established trail running range; it connects the sole to the lacing system via small wings, allowing for a particularly comfortable and close fit. The shoe is made in standard width.
Non-reflective material and Gore-Tex
As a tactical operational boot, the Quest Prime Forces GTX is made entirely of non-reflective materials. The high-quality, full-grain nubuck leather ensures long durability and special hard-wearing qualities. To prevent dirt and small stones from settling between the foot and the footbed, a close-meshed mesh fabric seals the shoe to the outside. Soft, breathable lining ensures a high level of wearing comfort.
To ensure that the tactical boot remains highly efficient in all weather conditions and keeps the feet dry, the Gore-Tex membrane protects against water entering and being absorbed into the material, but without compromising the breathability of the boot.
Functional individual components
To prevent tangling, closed hooks are provided for the laces. The tongue, fixed in the middle, is connected to the upper material on both sides to prevent foreign bodies from entering the boot and also to keep them in place.
All individual components of the boot are reinforced, so that the seams as well as the mesh, the laces, and the outsole together make a particularly robust construction.
